As Diana came around with something in her hand, I though it would be a lot different then what I smelled. Hoping it would be a sweet, faint sensation, I took a big wiff of butter and salt. The two ingredients seemed to co-exist and collide in to one piece of food. I coughed the first time I smelled it because I didn't think it would be so intensifying. It smelled like when melting salted butter in a bowl on the stove top. The steamy, warm, smell seeped through my nostrils and into my head as the warmth drifted through my body making the hairs on my arms stand up. As she moved away my nose seemed to drift towards where she was going but it was to late, it was gone. A few seconds aftter she removed the buttery goodness I knew what it was...popcorn. I could even guess which type it was with my eyes closed. I was pretty sure it was oriville rekenbocher. As I opened my eyes I figured out that I was right. When she brought the popcorn over for us to taste, it was like tasting popcorn for the first time. I had been used to the lightly salted variety of popcorn but this was drizzled and douced in butter. It tasted amazing, with a sudden feeling of a heart attack on its way.
But as my hands reached for a second helping of popcorn, it was gone.
